Wyndham is introducing a new brand where 40% of the rooms are left unfinished, a unique concept in the hotel industry.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts unveiled its 25th brand, WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham, allowing owners to sell both extended-stay and short-term rental rooms.
WaterWalk, a Wichita-based company, offers a mix of furnished and unfurnished one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. The brand began in 2014 and has since expanded with various partnership and investment deals.
Wyndham’s acquisition or partnership with WaterWalk signals a strategic move into the upscale extended-stay market, complementing its other brand offerings in the economy and midscale segments.
The brand aims to attract guests with its upscale amenities, including in-unit washers and dryers, full-sized appliances, granite countertops, and fully equipped gyms.
WaterWalk also provides shared common spaces with modern conveniences for all guests to enjoy, positioning itself as a desirable option for long-term stays or property conversions.
